Our approach - We were born to move
Throughout our history, our brain and body’s movement have been intricately intertwined. But, in just a short time, our brain’s development rapidly outpaced our physical evolution, as such we see an evolutionary miss match that can manifest itself as injury, inefficient movement and physical & mental disconnect.
The need for traditional functional movement skills that once nourished our bodies and minds, what we evolved for, have gradually diminished. Yet, our need for them remains unchanged. Your body and brain still crave the skills it has always relied upon for health but somewhere along the line, we forgot about them.
We believe these movement skills are essential for optimal physical and mental functioning. It all starts by rediscovering your innate evolutionary movement DNA blueprint, something we were all born with and lies dormant within us.

What sets us and our Approach apart?
Our individualised approach differs as it recognises the integrative connection between your body and mind, as well as our evolutionary need for complex movement, a connection that has been refined over millions of years.
Inspired by international movement experts and programmes, our work is primarily influenced by evolution and natural human movement development.
Some say it is a blend of the great movement systems such as yoga, Pilates, manual therapy, callisthenics, functional training, climbing, strength training, parkour, Feldenkrais or gymnastics and indeed, there are elements of each. We would just say that in fact, they all borrow from the original system, NATURAL MOVEMENT.

Our expertise lies in developing physically literate individuals who have autonomy over their health, fitness and rehabilitation from injury. As such we take a optimistic, positive coaching approach to our treatment.
At the heart of this is increased movement confidence, enabling movement choice and variability which is in alignment with our evolutionary and practical needs. This leads to a more functional movement and rehabilitation outcomes and less chance of re-injury.
The natural movement approach has been tried and tested over two million years of human development. Combined with an evidence-based, person-centred approach to coaching and rehabilitation, you have a unique humanistic approach that is rooted in evolution and guided by modern science.
